Luxembourg’s only wine-growing region

Moselle is, first and foremost, Luxembourg’s only wine-growing region and known for the quality of its wines. Only 20 km from the capital, vines have flourished along the river for as long as anyone can remember. It was the Romans who were the first to plant vines on the banks of the Moselle, a tradition that has been going strong ever since.

Winemakers in the area expertly combine modern methods with tradition. The soil, rich in limestone and clay, produces a delightful sparkling wine called Crémant. No less appreciated are the Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Auxerrois varieties.

To explore all the diversity this region has to offer, the possibilities are truly endless: wine-themed hikes, restaurants, estates, cooperatives, etc. Why not take part in one of the wine festivals dotted throughout the year, or experience our wine tasting events, Wine Lights Enjoy, Wine Taste Enjoy, Wine Culture Enjoy and Wine Cheese Enjoy? Take your pick!
