Under the motto "Sport, fun for young and old, big and small," the Sports Commission of the municipality of Mertert is organizing a beautiful family day with sporting activities on Monday, June 9, 2025, for the first time at the "Spatz" in Wasserbillig, the lowest point of Luxembourg.

Three different races will take place that day: a children's race of about 400 meters, as well as 5 km and 10 km races. The start and finish of the races will be at the "Spatz," hence the name LowPointRun.

The main race (10 km) will lead the runners through the villages of our beautiful municipality. It starts along the Sauer River, passes through the village center of Wasserbillig, then climbs the Bocksberg through the vineyards to Mertert, where we will run through the park past the pond and along the Mosel promenade back to Wasserbillig.
